An interview with Sheer Zed
Presented by Alex Hawkins.
“I’m intrigued on how an artist constructs their art, placing it together, presenting this to another person, be it visual or audio and the resulting impact. It’s not trying to find out the exact meanings, to pin down or ‘pigeon hole’ it, but to just listen.”
Meeting in November 2018 at the Arnolfini in Bristol, a venue whose relationship with the arts continues to be immersive. This interview is about early influences and friendships with musical figures such as John Parish, the beginnings of music creativity and musical progression through personal experiences. With a clear enthusiasm for the medium of electronic sound, hopefully this moment in time has been captured, allowing an insight into the working artist.
