For the last two years, FromeFM has hosted a live Breakfast Show on every day of the Frome Festival, providing the population of Frome with the very latest information and news, the only radio station to do so with such extensive coverage. This year will see more coverage than ever before, with the return of a daily Breakfast Show but with an additional late afternoon show too.

Director Dave Watkins commented, “With the Festival becoming bigger and more popular every year, FromeFM wanted to keep up by offering the town more live radio than ever before during this exciting period. There will be a two hour Breakfast Show every day, from Friday 4th July right through to the end of the event, between 8-10am. Each show will be hosted by different teams of presenters, who will be giving out the very latest news and inviting special guests into the studio to talk about key events. Also, for the first time, between the 7th and 11th, you can tune in from 4.30-6pm for ‘Teatime with Jennie & Steph’, who will present a mix of classic music and more Festival news. On monday, Chemical Steve will be broadcasting throughout the night from 10.30pm until 8am the next day with special guests. We are very keen for the population of Frome – and beyond! – to tune in as often as possible to see what is happening.”

The station will also be welcoming a student from Frome College for Work Experience during the main week of the Festival, who will be collating all the news and updates ahead of each daily show. This shows how the station works as a community group and is more proof that it’s not just about playing music! You can listen to the station via 96.6FM on your radio in the car and home or via www.frome.fm online.
