ITV are coming to Frome on Friday 15th November to film Frome’s bid for the Peoples Millions …and you can be involved. We need crowds of people on TV to show support for Frome’s project.
The radio studio in a suitcase pictured above has been to disaster areas around the world broadcasting lifesaving information about where to get food and vital medical supplies. It has helped a massive number of people overseas and now we want to use it to help people in this country too.
FromeFM are asking the Peoples Millions to fund three suitcase studios like this, and a trainer, to help our children, local clubs, community groups and charities to make radio programmes about the things they are passionate about. They can use it to advertise for volunteers and to promote fundraising for their charity.
Ralph has Autism and presents his own show on FromeFM each month, which often promotes the National Autistic Society. Ralph’s confidence has grown amazingly since his first show on FromeFM and he wants to help children with Autism build their confidence too while having fun making their own radio programmes.
Suitcase studio could cover live matches for the football club. PAC could use it to help families living with cancer. Scouts and Guides could gain skills for badges using suitcase studio. Frome Missing Link could make programmes about the cycle paths. Singers Knoll community group could brighten the day for older residents by taking the suitcase to hear their stories….and children in local schools can let their imaginations run wild creating brilliant new programmes the whole town can hear.
Suitcase studio could make a massive difference to every charity and community group in Frome.
