Rebellious Jukebox – 26th September
This week’s Rebellious Jukebox is a Garage Rock special, and Julian’s guest in the studio is Bruno Wilkinson, presenter of Frome FM show BOMP Radio Hour. Bruno is the font of all knowledge when it comes to all things garage band, proto-punk and outsider-weirdness.
Tune in to hear Rebellious Jukebox meets BOMP Radio: lots of trashy guitars, blown out amps, cheap organs and fuzz boxes, and to see if Julian can find a track that Bruno can’t identify!
The Rebellious Jukebox, presented by Julian Crawley. Thursday evenings from 8.00 until 9.00, repeated Sunday evening at 10.00.
Rebellious Jukebox – 12th September
Special guest on this week’s Rebellious Jukebox show is Frome poet Liv Torc.
Liv is one third of the Hip Yak Poetry Shack, who host the Hip Yak Poetry Slam at the Frome festival each year, and she also runs the Spoken Word stage at WOMAD and the Hip Yak Poetry School. She is a Radio 4 slam winner and performed at Glastonbury on the Poetry and Words stage earlier this year.
Listen to Liv talk a bit about her work and then read her poem, The Human Emergency, on the show.
That, plus the usual mix of genre-hurdling musical delights.
