Welshmill WeirIn 2010 Jules Pretty and Jo Barton of the University of Essex published results in the journal “Environmental Science and Technology” showing that mood and self-esteem improved after as little as a five-minute dose of open air exercise. The study found that a walk in a natural area adjacent to water offered people the most improvement.
