A selection of recordings from the 2011 Frome Festival.
Please note that most of the recordings were made live in workshops, at events or in the street and are therefore not always studio quality.
Sat 16th July 2011 – Festival Shorts.Toby and Leon get out and about to a few festival events and talk to people at the Spoons workshop, The lanterns workshop and at the Festival World Record Story Book characters event.
Thurs 14th July 2011 – Blues Train interview – Jon Amor.Blues guitarist Jon Amor (ex The Hoax) pops in to the FFM studio to talk to Dave Watkins and to play a live track. Recorded on Weds 13th July 2011.
Thurs 14th July 2011 – Short Story Competition Prize Winner. Alison Clink delivers the results of the Festival short story competition. We hear from the judges and listen to a reading of the winning story. Recorded live at Frome Library July 10th 2011.
Sat 10th July 2011 – Writers Question Time. Writers Matthew Graham, Rosemary Dunn, Emma Darwin and Debby Holt answer questions about the art and craft of writing from a festival audience. The Question Time is chaired by Steve Voake.
Sun 10th July 2011 – 3 Bonzos and a Piano. An opportunity to hear the Bonzo’s gig recorded live at The Cheese and Grain on 10th July 2011.
Sat 9th July 2011 – Shop Talk. This year’s Home In Frome exhibition is all about shopping from the 1940s onwards. The exhibition sound walk takes you on a journey to meet shop keepers and shoppers in Frome. If you missed the exhibition, then hear the sound walk here.
