The Director of Operations is responsible for managing activities that are part of the production of radio. This includes managing the operations process, planning, control, performance improvement, and operations strategy.
Studio Manager – Rupert Kirkham
All studio access, organisation, policy, cleanliness is the Studio Manager’s responsibility. This includes liaising with the landlord (Frome Town Council) when needed and providing the members with all the information and training they need in relation to the studio. And ensuring all phone messages are taken and actioned or forwarded as required.
Equipment Manager – Rupert Kirkham
All studio equipment is the responsibility of the Equipment Manager. This includes maintenance, up keep, training to use the equipment efficiently and professionally and applying for funding.
Training Manager – Rupert Kirkham
The Training Manager creates and implements a training strategy that keeps the members’ skill level high, to ensure all members produce high quality programming, as well as training that forms part of the benefits programme that comes with membership.
The initial training programme gets members to a level to produce programmes of a high standard. Once the members are trained, to keep them inspired by working with the Course Manager to create an on-going membership programme.
Programming Manager – Rupert Kirkham
Programme ideas, formats and topics to fit into and broaden the offerings of Frome FM is the role of the Programming Officer. Works with the scheduling manager to ensure shows are scheduled at appropriate times and in agreed ‘show families’ over the 4 – week cycle.
Outside Broadcasting Manager – Rupert Kirkham
All outside broadcasts are managed by the Outside Broadcast Manager with the help of the support team. This involves the initial liaison, the planning and then to work with the Programming Manager to create the relevant programmes for broadcast.
