Media partnership with Frome Town Football Club
FromeFM are proud to officially announce a brand new media partnership with Frome Town Football Club for the upcoming 2014/15 season. This is an exciting move for the station and we are hoping that both sides will benefit in the long term. As two of the most forward thinking community groups in the area, it was something FFM were always keen to look at and already there are plans in the pipeline that will mean more awareness for both the station and the football club.
The basic terms of the partnership, will see FromeFM promote the football club in various ways, while the FromeFM logo and details will be displayed in the matchday programme and website of The Robins. The flagship sports show, Monday Night Kick Off, which airs live every other Monday evening between 8-9pm, has already welcomed several footballers into the studio and this will continue, with a possible FTFC dedicated show also being looked into. The Saturday Breakfast Show will also feature the weekends fixtures and news in a special slot. There are also plans to integrate live match commentary from selected away matches too.
Keep an eye on the website and social media for more detailed plans as the season gets nearer, including a proposed charity football match! FromeFM would like to thank club Secretary, Ian Pearce, for his help in setting the partnership up from his end and we look forward to getting up and running very soon.
Frome Town FC are busy planning for the new season in the Southern Premier League, which this season will have several big names, including Hereford United, Dorchester Town and Weymouth, as well as local rivals Paulton Rovers. Steampunk Extravaganza Special
Join Frome’s own gentleman about town, and raconteur, Timble ‘Bonkers’ Beale with an exclusive ‘Guide To Steampunk’ on FromeFM this Saturday at 2pm.
Be introduced to the concept, the attraction, and style of Steampunk. Have explained the intricacies of Tea Dueling with information where and when the next contest will take place. Exclusive conversation with Lord Montague Jaques Fromage, Timble and John Walton.
Steampunk is an inspired movement of creativity and imagination. With a backdrop of either Victorian England or America’s Wild West at hand, modern technologies are re-imagined and realized as elaborate works of art, fashion, and mechanics. If Jules Verne or H.G. Wells were writing their science fiction today, it would be considered “steampunk.”
A Guide To Steampunk will be broadcast on Saturday 24th May at 2pm and will be available to listen again online next week. 96.6FM and online www.frome.fm
