Chris Stringer, Environmental Manager and Toni Duddridge, Town Ranger from Frome Town Council come into the studio to talk about their roles and what exciting things are coming up over the coming weeks, one of which being the ‘Wild About Trees’ project, where they are aiming to plant over 1000 trees during the February half term. Of course, they would love you to get involved in helping to plant one!

Pat Mason, chair of the Frome Macular Support Group comes in to talk about what the group is about and her nomination for Frome Person of the Year.

The group meet on the third Thursday of every month at the Health Centre in Frome from 10am -12pm.

If there is anyone that would like to help, or wants to get in touch with the group, Pat is on hand (one of the many reasons why she has been nominated this year!)

Dougie Brown from Active and in Touch pops into the studio to talk about how volunteers visit, help and befriend people who have become isolated or out of touch with the community around them.

Currently meeting at the Bridge Café every Monday from 11am-1pm.

Active and in Touch are always looking out for volunteers to help those most in need. If you feel like you could offer to help in any way get in touch by popping into the Town Hall to see Dougie in person or find details from their website:
