FFM on BBC pilot

BBC Community Radio ShowThis week FromeFM have been recording a pilot programme with BBC Radio Bristol about community radio.   It was a magazine type programme with radio stations FromeFM, Somer Valley, 10 Radio, GloucesterFM taking part and featuring clips from some of their shows and a bit of chat about the difference community radio makes.

FromeFMs clip was from ‘Ralphs Finest Hour’ where presenter Ralph introduces the ‘You need to know’ campaign for Autism awareness.

Mags Gregory and Phil Moakes went to the BBC Bristol radio studio for the pilot.  ‘It was great fun making the programme and interesting to see the studio set up is not so different from our own’.

Our picture shows presenter Laura Rawlings, Dom from Somer Valley and Phil & Mags from FromeFM.

FromeFM have also been asked for clips by another BBC Radio producer who is also making a pilot. These clips are all talk based and are highlighting how community radio does stuff that commercial radio and the BBC don’t such as drama, politics and airing local issues.

FromeFM are delighted to welcome Garston Vets on board as the latest in our stable of station sponsors.  Listen out for their advert each day and also for La Bisalta restaurant who came on board last month.
